Erik Carlson, 46, He was employed in Sales at various companies most recently at FleetCor. He graduated from East High where he enjoyed playing his trumpet and Flugelhorn. Erik attended Wichita State and received his associate's degree from University of Phoenix. He loved to share his passion for fishing with his friends but it was special teaching his children and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Dale and Shirley and step-mother, Patricia. Erik attended Wichita State and received his associate's degree from University of Phoenix. He loved to share his passion for fishing with his friends but it was special teaching his children and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Dale and Shirley and step-mother, Patricia. Survived by wife, Trisha; his pride and joy, his children, Kody Dale and Ella Diane; sisters, Dalrona (Rick) Harrison and Leale Carlson; niece, "Little Sister" Abby (Matt) Wood and her children, Addison and Hanna; step-sister, Yvette (Keith) Shipley; step-brother, Jesse James; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and family-in-law. Erik knew he was adopted and loved by his family, but he knew he had more love to share. He started a journey to meet his extended family and found Colt, Gwen, Scott, Dru and Jody. Erik's extended family included Trisha's parents, Jo Ellen (Hillary) Ford; Larry (Karen) Schilling; sisters-in-law, Tracey (Jeremy) Page and nieces, Mariah (Kai), Emily, Ashlyn: Terri Jo (Matt) Hoag and niece, Madison, nephews, Conner and Tobin. Visitation will be Thurs., Oct. 13th 4-8 pm, with family receiving friend from 6-8 pm at DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary. A Celebration of his Life will be Fri. 2 PM at Indian Hills Church of the Nazarene.
