On March 19, 1947 she received the habit, professing final vows July 26, 1952.
Her education began at St. Francis Elementary School and continued through High School in St. Paul, KS. During those early years in the congregation she took Normal Training classes at Mt. St. Mary's Wichita, KS to prepare herself for a career of teaching. This was followed through the years with attendance at Sacred Heart Jr. College in Wichita, Ft. Hays State College, Kansas State College in Pittsburg, and finally completing her M.S. degree in Library Science at Emporia State University. Her teaching career began in the elementary schools of the Diocese of Wichita, eventually becoming a school librarian in Pittsburg, Wichita and Derby. Library work was to become her passion, eventually leading her to St. Mary of the Plains College in Dodge City from 1968-1983 where she was a librarian as well as teaching library science. During that time she was invited by the Bishop Eugene Gerber of Dodge City to organize the archives for the diocese. When Bishop Gerber was moved to Wichita she became Vice-Chancellor/Archivist for the Diocese of Wichita from 1983-1990. She completed her Librarian/Archivist career at Mt. St. Mary Convent where she tended both collections of the congregation. Her retirement years were spent in Marian Hall at the local center of the Congregation of Sisters of St. Joseph in Wichita. Her parents and siblings preceded her in death. In addition to her Sisters in the Congregation, she is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
